"The Dr. Gerds Herd: Scout, Biwabik and Susie"
The quality of our people includes the fact that they all have a family of pets of their own. They can fully appreciate the importance of your bond with your pet. We understand how important your pet is to you because we know how important our pets are to us.
Here is Scout pictured on the end of Scout Drive in Sartell near the round barn in 2009 when we were "scouting" locations for the pet hospital.
Scout is 12 years old now in 2012 and the senior dog in the herd. Dr. Gerds has had him since birth when one of her clients in Fergus had offered her one of the puppies.
Biwabik is the next oldest in our herd, she was rescued about 4 years ago. I asked Dr. Gerds to be on the lookout for a new friend to keep Scout company after his buddy Trevor passed.
A few months later in comes this little Yorkie Poo on her way to the Humane Society. She was found near a boat ramp and Dr. Gerds knew she found a new home. She is named after the little MN town near the Iron Range and means "Valuable" in Ojibway.
